This little girl is so cute, she reminds us of a prairie dog the way she pops up here and there, and peeks around corners. She is careful around people until she gets to know you. Then she will come to you when you call her and she twirls around and rubs up against your legs for pats. She doesn't demand a lot of attention and is happy just to hang around with you, and has claimed her favorite spot on the back of the sofa where she watches TV. She is a little bit of a talker, but she has a soft voice and is not so chatty that's it's annoying. And those big front paws are adorable - plus she's excellent about using a scratching post. Skipper (think Ken & Barbie) was found living outside with her four kittens. She was such an fantastic mom that we just call her Mama. Each of her kittens was just as sweet as she is. Mama would benefit by being in a home with other easy-going cats in order to feel safe. She was outside at such a young age, no more than a kitten herself, and never had the chance to play with other cats, but she really enjoys typical cat games now. However, we have recently realized that she would be okay as an only cat as well, and becomes more human-oriented when there are no other cats. Quick movements by little children would probably make her anxious, but she would be fine with kids over 10. She will need a special person to be patient with her - you won't be sorry . Skipper just turned 2 years old, is spayed, has tested negative for FIV and FeLV, up-to-date on all her shots, and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is only $100.
