$300

Hey!
Scroll down for lots of big pictures!
I've had this piano listed on here for a few weeks now, so I decided to do a little research on it for anyone who is interested. I got a summary of its value from the Founder of The Antique Piano Shop, Inc (). The following is copied directly from the e-mail he sent to me:
"Thank you for your inquiry. We have restored several Ivers & Pond upright pianos over the years, and they are very good pianos. According to the serial number you provided, your piano was built in 1893.
Obviously it is in our best interest to encourage that people restore their vintage instruments -- after all, we are in the restoration business. The value ranges below, however, and actual values we see these instruments selling for in the real market today. When these pianos have had a total, frame off professional restoration, they sell in the $10,000 - $12,000 range. Restoration costs are generally around $8,500. In original, unrestored condition, they tend to sell for as little as $500 - $1,000 on average on eBay, Craig's List, etc. Hopefully this information will give you some guideline to value depending on where your piano falls in between the two extremes."
That being said, I'm asking for well below the average going rate here, but I'm open to other offers (trades included). I no longer have room for it and therefore need someone who wants it to take it off my hands. This piano is a great investment for someone who might want to restore it and make a few grand off of it, or just to keep it as a nice piece in their home. E-mail me any questions!
