Maple Beagle Young Female in Worcester, Massachusetts

My story
Maple is an estimated 3 year old, 22 pound female (spayed) beagle. She and several other beagle “family members” were surrendered to BTR back in June and it was clear she had never lived indoors, but once she got a taste of the house dog life, there was no going back! Maple is a true gem. She loves everyone she meets and everyone loves her right back. She loves to snuggle just as much as she loves to play—the local dog park is her favorite hangout, but she’s also an excellent hiking partner and Netflix binging companion. She walks respectfully on a leash, is crate trained and lives peacefully with others dogs, cats, and young children in her foster home. She has done well learning basic commands (sit, wait, touch, leave it) through positive reinforcement training, but she will require continued consistency with obedience and housebreaking. Maple’s ideal home would be an active one with beagle experience that is eager to continue her training and include her in outdoor activities. She would love a fenced in yard and another canine playmate, but she can be a digger (she is a beagle after all!) and should not be left out unattended.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Maple, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
